What is MSG?
MSG (monosodium glutamate), without all the extra explanation, is a neurotoxin. Laymen’s terms, it fry’s the cells that your body depends on! It is a highly processed salt that is used in our food supply to enhance flavor and sell more product. It is also one of the reasons our country is facing an obesity epidemic. (read here) They feed this stuff to lab rats to MAKE THEM FAT…so why are we eating it!?!?
Why should I care?
It has been linked to things like migraines, seizures, heart palpations, ADHD, diabetes, autism, the list goes on and on. It has also proven to cause massive irritation of symptoms in people with IBS and Fibromyalgia as well. Worse, most of the pub med articles I have read start with the statement…”Chronic oral intake of high doses of monosodium glutamate (MSG) could be harmful to tissues and organs.” Well, that’s good to know. 😡
