The Smoothie Cheat Sheet

I fashioned this “cheat sheet” after one that I used to use from Vitamix. They don’t have theirs available on their site anymore (at least I can no longer find it)…but this makes life incredibly simple for the novice smoothie maker! 😀 We still use this sometimes when we want to get creative and need to remember the best way to portion, for tastes sake. Give it a try and let us know how it works for you! 😀

Smoothie Cheat Sheet

Pick one from the veggie list, 2 from the fruit list, and 1 from the liquids list


  • 2 cups spinach
  • 1 cup kale
  • ½ head of romaine lettuce
  • 1 romaine heart
  • ¾ cup raw broccoli
  • 1 small head of bib or Boston lettuce


  • 1 cup nut milk
  • 1 cup fruit juice
  • 1 cup water

Fruit & “other” veg

  • 1 cup grapes
  • 1 apple (cored)
  • 1 orange (peeled)
  • 1 cup melon
  • 1 cup pineapple
  • 1 cup berries
  • 1 banana (peeled)
  • ½ cup cucumber
  • 1 kiwi (peeled)
  • 1 carrot
  • 1 cup peaches
  • 1 cup mango (peeled)
  • ½ cup papaya (peeled)
  • 2 stalks celery
  • 1 pear

These are totally the basics…will give you a good start

Don’t be afraid to try different fruits and veggies once you get the hang of things.


  1. This will come in handy…now if I just had a Vitamix!

    • Aunt T has been using a “ninja” that seems to work okay until she can get a vitamix…so maybe a regular blender would do SOME stuff?? :S I wouldn’t try some of the harder veggies like carrots and stuff until you have a stronger blender…but its worth a shot for a strawberry banana spinach one or something. 😉
