I was craving a new kind of salad dressing today. I tend to get burnt out on the same ole thing all of the time. While drudging through the internet I remembered that my grandma used to have the most awesome salad dressing. 😀 I asked dad if he knew how she used to make it…I was very excited to find out that my aunt had the recipe and makes it all the time! So I gave her a call, and now I’m wondering why I hadn’t called sooner! This stuff is so incredibly easy, and oh my gosh, I sooooo love it! 😛 Most would think that the ketchup would rule it out as healthy…but we have been lucky enough to find a brand at Whole Foods that doesn’t have any additives or anything, so we are happy with it for now…(until I decide to start making that too! 😉 ) So shake some of this stuff up and try it out…it’s super simple and super good!
Equal parts of…
- Vinegar (I used white wine vinegar)
- Hemp Oil
The original recipe calls for sugar, but since we don’t use that I subbed in some honey. In the orginal recipe, it would be an equal part of sugar as well…so if you use 1/2 cup of everything else, add 1/4 cup honey (since honey is sweeter)….if you use 1 cup of everything else, use 1/2 cup honey….you get the idea….put all of it in a mason jar, pop on the lid, and give it a quick shake…
