Amy’s Curry Powder

I had never tried curry before. I have heard of it a million times, I’ve just never taken the time or had much desire to give it a shot. However, my nutritionist suggested it to me as something that would possibly help aleviate some inflammation…so I decided it was worth a try. But you know me, there was no way I was going to use some “pre-made” somethin if I could make it myself instead! 😉 Plus, I wanted to know exactly what was going into my body, so it just made sense to go searching for some recipes. After many different sites with many different spices suggested, this is what finally came to fruition. There was some tweaking and some leaving out (because I simply didn’t have what it called for), but in the end, it was marvelous! 😀


You will need:

  • 2 1/2 TBSP Coriander
  • 1 TBSP Cumin
  • 1/2 TBSP Turmeric
  • 1 tsp Ginger
  • 1 tsp Mustard powder
  • 3/4 tsp Black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp Cloves
  • 1/4 tsp Cayenne pepper

Simply enough, just combine them all in a baggie or a jar of your choosing, and shake well to mix. Couldn’t get much easier than that! 😉
